YouTube's Virtual Awards Show in the Offing

YouTube is holding its first Video Awards to recognize the best-user created videos of 2006. Your video wizardry, if you have made it there, is evaluated in seven categories: most creative, most inspirational, best series, best comedy, musician of the year, best commentary and "most adorable video ever."

The nominees, picked by YouTube members, will be compiled in a gallery at YTAwards.

Go vote on your favorites beginning from today, 3/19 till Friday 2/24. I voted for Pachelbel Rant, below:



The winners (may we and you be one of them), chosen by our peers, will be announced March 25. Each will be prominently featured on YouTube and receive a "virtual" trophy, fame, and fortune. OK, the last one probably depends mostly on your ability to exploit the first two, doesn't it?
